The stone wall behind the poplars hides the road which climbs the mountain to Miraval. You can see the small cypress trees just against the wall. They’ve since grown enough that their tops peek at passersby. A large branch from one of the poplars smashed the showerhouse/studio roof, so we’ve had to cut the poplars down to prevent further damage. I’m lucky to have had them to paint for many years.
